Story telling is the essence of photography; over time I've understood that all found images are stories-in-waiting. I can be back at that moment when the shutter clicked--simply by reading through any part of my photo journal. A photograph of a local artist making pottery in a village speaks volumes about both the area's culture and it's long history. While another informal portrait, taken on the spot children playing in streets tells us that despite their youth they are full of innocence and happiness. I of my lens, Respected for their various backgrounds and stories into one piece interwoven experiences not only reflect the beauty of that place but also humanity at large. Every photograph is a chapter in my travel story and invites you to share the viewb through my eyes with me. Moreover, photography has taught me the importance of being in touch with the preseent. At a time when distractions are many fold—and seemingly never-ending—I get my answer from one act of taking picture. It forces me to walk slowly observe my surroundings more carefully and set my mind on what is happening around me so that those instantaneous moments we all experience every day crystallize into something concrete or at least past particulars. I have been schooled to be aware of the ordinary by my camera in such a way that despite a grimy scene before me at a street market even this too is beautiful in its own right. And practicing this awareness of everyday things not only improves my pictures but it enriches travel experiences for th me as well. What I've gathered from this process is that many a picture so dazzling it seems comes out of a spontaneous moment and that beauty can be found in the unplanned unexpected.
As a travel photographer, as I look back upon my journey, one thing that keeps inspiring me continually is how many stories will develop before our very eyes.Every stop provides a new angle, and I try to reflect this in my work.My photo diaries constitute not just a group of images.
